Refund and cancellation policy
This policy applies to professional fees and deposits for financial auditing and related assurance engagements with Harborline Audit Partners. It does not cover products, retail goods, or software subscriptions, which we do not sell.
Eligibility
Refunds are considered for prepaid deposits or interim billings when work has not commenced, or when Harborline cancels an engagement for reasons within our control (for example, inability to staff an accepted timeline after acceptance).
Timeframe to request
Please submit refund or cancellation requests in writing to hello@automation-platformsorg.digital within fourteen (14) days of the event giving rise to the request, or sooner if stated in your engagement letter.
Full and partial refunds
- Full refund of unused deposit: if you cancel in writing before fieldwork begins and before we have incurred third-party confirmation or travel costs.
- Partial refund: if planning has started (document requests issued, risk assessment drafted) but substantive fieldwork has not begun — typically deposit less planning hours already incurred at agreed rates.
- No refund for completed phases: hours already performed for planning, inventory observation, testing, or reporting remain payable.
Non-refundable items
External confirmation bank fees already paid, courier costs for confirmations, travel already booked for agreed site visits, and translation costs authorized by you are non-refundable once incurred.
Refund process and timing
Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within twenty (20) business days of approval. We will confirm the amount in writing before transfer.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You may request to reschedule fieldwork subject to partner availability, especially during December–March. Rescheduling with at least fifteen (15) business days’ notice generally carries no fee. Shorter notice may incur a rescheduling charge reflecting reserved team days.
Deposits
Deposits secure peak-season calendar time. They are applied against the final invoice. Unused deposit balances after a completed engagement are credited or refunded as agreed in writing.
No-shows and access failures
If inventory sites are inaccessible on an agreed observation date without timely notice, or key personnel are unavailable for planned walkthroughs, we may charge for reserved time and rebook at the next available slot.
Work already started
Once substantive testing or inventory observation has begun, fees for work performed are due according to the engagement letter. Withdrawal after commencement does not entitle a refund of fees for completed procedures.
Exceptions
If Harborline withdraws for independence or integrity reasons arising from management conduct, fees for work properly performed remain payable; unused prepaid amounts for unperformed work may be refunded after cost reconciliation.
